ALDER DIE OFF

In the summer of 2018, Paul Jones of the SPCWC noticed an alarming number of dying Red Alder trees within the Watershed. After contacting a number of stakeholders and realizing that the die-off was more widespread than just Pacifica, Paul organized a meeting to discuss the issue and path forward. In September the State Department of Ag identified diatrypella pulvinata on the dead Alders and on October 25, 2018 the San Pedro Watershed Coalition hosted a meeting with stakeholders to discuss path forward.
