Springtime in the Creek
Springtime in San Pedro Creek means clear water, green vegetation and juvenile steelhead in the shallows. The fish start as fertilized eggs in the gravel in late winter and quickly make their way to approximately 1/2” in length and are called frye during this portion of their life. You can see by their size what a fragile life cycle this is - lets hope they survive the perils of life and make it to the ocean in a year or so!
